Mel Hebert is an Environmental Health Physicist with over 30 years of experience in the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Industry. He has an MS in Health Physics from Louisiana State University.
For 27 years of his career, he was directly associated with the Oil & Gas NORM Industry. He possesses a comprehensive background in Regulatory Compliance and Radiation Safety. This experience comes from years of serving in state agencies as a Corporate Radiation Safety Officer, Laboratory Manager, Technical Services Director, and a Health Physics Consultant. During this time, he managed multiple radioactive material licenses and permits for local, state, and federal agencies.
He’s also a U.S. Marine Corps disabled combat veteran of the Persian Gulf War, where he served as a platoon commander and Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Warfare Specialist.
