Hello, I’m Mel Hebert. I’m an Environmental Health Physicist with over 30 years of experience in the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Industry. I have an MS in Health Physics from Louisiana State University.

For 27 years of my career, I was directly associated with the Oil & Gas NORM Industry. I possess a comprehensive background in Regulatory Compliance and Radiation Safety. This experience comes from years of serving in state agencies, as a Corporate Radiation Safety Officer, Laboratory Manager, Technical Services Director, and a Health Physics Consultant. During this time, I managed multiple radioactive material licenses and permits for local, state, and federal agencies.

I’m also a U.S. Marine Corps disabled combat veteran of the Persian Gulf War, where I served as a platoon commander and Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Warfare Specialist.
